'The Perp walk', accepted and published my poem, ‘Entropia’.
DECAMERON
Entropia
Years of life hung glistening and sparkling,
dreams and aspirations for another New Year.
Fires burning everywhere.
Searching for a glow
a small flicker,
an ember.
But the glitter has all come away, falling to the ground like breadcrumbs,
the trail obscured.
Cracks appearing like spidery veins,
crevices too large to mend.
Old photographs bleached with time,
fading memories shifting to the fore.
Haunted by secrecy,
the ghosts past pervade the present.
Silhouettes like shadow puppets dance behind a worn screen.
Images diffuse and subtly unfurl
and watchers unspring from their tightly coiled frames
and recoil.
